We operate micro-extrusion of optical plastics. The advantage of extruding ourselves is that we can put any additive inside plastics. We can also produce polymers using a liquid process, then grind the resulting bars and feed them into one of our extruders.
After that, we have the possibility to add a cladding to the fiber obtained in order to generate an optical fiber with specific properties.
Our latest invention consists of a PET core fibre with an acrylic coating. It gives excellent results, particularly when loaded with fluorescent dopants. The fluorescent optical fibre thus generated is both inexpensive and highly efficient.
