Specific, on demand optical fibers for research or trials
We have successfully developed a process for producing specific plastic optical fibers by molding (rather than fiber drawing or extrusion). This process allows us to produce lengths of 1.5 meters for each molded piece.
Not only does our process produce the brightest fluorescent or scintillating optical fibers in the world, but it also allows all parameters to be adjusted as desired:
– Diameter
– Thickness of the coating and core
– Concentration of pigments or other dopants
This is done individually for each fiber, without the need to order hundreds of meters. The overall cost of research is greatly reduced as a result.
